The HuaZhi 1600 Type Metal Crusher is an industrial-grade metal shredding machine engineered for high-volume scrap metal processing operations. Designed for large recycling facilities, steel mills, and industrial metal recovery plants, the 1600 model delivers exceptional throughput of 1,500–4,000 kg per hour, making it the ideal choice for operations that demand continuous, heavy-duty metal shredding performance.
The 1600 features a reinforced heavy-gauge steel frame, a high-inertia rotor system with 20+ precision-balanced hammers, and a powerful 90–110 kW drive motor — delivering the crushing force needed to process thick steel plate, structural beams, engine blocks, and industrial scrap with consistent output quality.
Key Features
Reinforced Heavy-Duty Frame
Constructed from Q345B high-strength steel plate (12–20 mm thickness) with stress-relief annealing treatment. The frame is designed for continuous 24⁄7 operation in demanding industrial environments.
High-Inertia Rotor System
Extra-large rotor (Φ 600–700 mm diameter) with 20–28 reversible alloy steel hammers. The high-mass rotor stores kinetic energy for superior impact force — reducing energy consumption while maximizing shredding efficiency.
Oversized Crushing Chamber (1,600 × 1,000 mm)
The wide crushing chamber accommodates bulky scrap including structural steel sections, I-beams, pipe bundles, and sheet metal offcuts — reducing material handling time and improving feed efficiency.
Hydraulic Pusher with High Thrust Force
A dual-cylinder hydraulic pusher delivers 15–25 tons of thrust force to continuously feed bulky scrap into the crushing chamber. The variable-speed pusher automatically adjusts to material density.
Hardox Wear-Resistant Chamber Lining
Interior walls lined with 20 mm Hardox 500 wear-resistant plates. All critical wear surfaces are bolted and replaceable — minimizing maintenance costs and extending service intervals.
Magnetic Separation Integration
Built-in magnetic drum or magnetic head pulley available as standard or optional configuration — automatically separates ferrous metal chips from non-ferrous output for clean material streams.
Split-Bearing Cartridge Housings
SKF/TIMKEN split cartridge bearings allow hammer shaft and bearing replacement without removing the rotor — reducing service time from hours to minutes.
Heavy-Duty Sound-Dampening Enclosure
Full steel enclosure with acoustic insulation brings operational noise to ≤ 82 dB. Sight windows, material feed gates, and emergency stops are integrated into the enclosure design.
CE Certified & Full-Load Tested
Every 1600 unit undergoes multi-hour full-load testing at our factory before dispatch. Dynamic balance certification and inspection reports are provided with each machine.

Imported Alloy Cutting Tools
The cutting tool is made of imported alloy steel material and processed by high-precision machine tools, with higher mechanical properties, better toughness and wear resistance, and significantly extended service life. Cutting tools can be extended in lifespan through laser cladding or high-temperature cladding. After the tool wears out, it can be repaired multiple times by welding, saving the cost of use.

Integrated Knife Box
The box adopts mortise and tenon design technology and overall annealing treatment technology.
