Unlike horizontal shredders that process bulky scrap, the vertical crusher excels at converting long, tangled, or voluminous metal turnings into dense, furnace-ready chips in a single pass.
The vertical impact crushing chamber uses a high-speed rotor spinning at 2,000–4,000 rpm equipped with replaceable impact hammers/blocks. Metal turnings are fed from the top and crushed by the high-velocity impact of the rotating rotor against the anvils and chamber walls — producing densely packed metal chips that reduce volume by 60–80% and eliminate the springy, tangled mass that makes turnings difficult to handle and melt.

The vertical shaft carries a high-speed rotor (2,000–4,000 rpm depending on model) equipped with 4–8 replaceable impact hammers.
